To Lose My Life – White Lies (2009) FLAC Audio HD 1080p Video ~MetalGuruMessiah~

“To Lose My Life” is the title track from the debut album by White Lies. White Lies are the newest band that I count among my all time favorites. They have released 4 albums and I think they are all exceptional and I listen to them very frequently. There is a great official video for this song, but I just couldn’t resist trying something for it.

I have numerous videos is various stage of completion for songs from this band…very happy to get one finished! Check out my other video from a song on their debut if you’re so inclined; “From The Stars”:

To Lose My Life… (also known by extended title of To Lose My Life or Lose My Love, or shortened as To Lose My Life) is the debut album by the British Indie rock band White Lies. It was released on 19 January 2009, through Fiction Records. The album was produced by Ed Buller and Max Dingel, between ICP Studios in Belgium and Kore Studios in London.

The album produced four singles; “Unfinished Business”, “Death” and “To Lose My Life”, prior to its release, and “Farewell to the Fairground” in the months following. “Death” was re-issued in June 2009, with “From the Stars” appearing as iTunes’s “Single of the Week” during December 2008. The album was released in the United States on 17 March 2009.

He said to lose my life or lose my love
That’s the nightmare I’ve been running from
So let me hold you in my arms a while
I was always careless as a child
And there’s a part of me that still believes
My soul will soar above the trees
But a desperate fear flows through my blood
That our dead loves buried beneath the mud

Let’s grow old together
And die at the same time
Let’s grow old together
And die at the same time

I said I’ve got no time, I have to go
And I was more right than now I’ll ever know
He said my heart is faint, will minds regret
And left him crying next to the chapel’s steps

Let’s grow old together
And die at the same time

Let’s grow old together
And die at the same time

He said?

Let’s grow old together
And die at the same time
Let’s grow old together
And die at the same time

He said?

He said to lose my life or lose my love
That’s the nightmare I’ve been running from
So let me hold you in my arms a while
I was careless as a child
There’s a part of me that still believes
My soul will soar above the trees
A desperate fear flows through my blood
Our dead loves buried beneath the mud
A desperate fear flows through my blood
Our dead loves buried beneath the mud

Question – The Moody Blues (1970) FLAC Remaster HD 1080p Video ~MetalGuruMessiah~

“Question” was the opening track on The Moody Blues’ sixth studio album, A Question of Balance, which was released in August 1970. This is a great Moodies track from a great Moodies album, nuff said. I hope you enjoy the effort! Thanks for watching!

The album was an attempt by the group to strip down their well-known lush, psychedelic sound in order to be able to better perform the songs in concert. The album reached #1 in the United Kingdom and #3 in the United States.

In March 2006 the album was remastered into SACD format and repackaged with six extra tracks. In 2008 a remaster for standard audio CD was issued with the same bonus tracks. The cover was changed slightly to hide the face of Colonel John Blashford-Snell who had objected to an image of an explorer wearing a pith helmet and wielding a Webley .455 pistol on the cover of the original LP, which he felt was derived from a photograph of himself. The relevant part of the cover was changed to show a generic individual in response to his law suit.

[Lyrics]
Why do we never get an answer
When we’re knocking at the door
With a thousand million questions
About hate and death and war?

’cause when we stop and look around us
There is nothing that we need.
In a world of persecution that is burning in its greed.

Why do we never get an answer
When we’re knocking at the door?
Because the truth is hard to swallow
That’s what the war of love is for.

It’s not the way that you say it
When you do those things to me.
It’s more the way that you mean it
When you tell me what will be.

And when you stop and think about it
You won’t believe it’s true.
That all the love you’ve been giving
Has all been meant for you.

I’m looking for someone to change my life.
I’m looking for a miracle in my life.
And if you could see what it’s done to me
To lose the love I knew
Could safely lead me through.

Between the silence of the mountains
And the crashing of the sea
There lies a land I once lived in
And she’s waiting there for me.

But in the grey of the morning
My mind becomes confused
Between the dead and the sleeping
And the road that I must choose.

I’m looking for someone to change my life.
I’m looking for a miracle in my life.
And if you could see what it’s done to me
To lose the love I knew
Could safely lead me to
The land that I once knew.
To learn as we grow old
The secrets of our souls.

It’s not the way that you say it
When you do those things to me.
It’s more the way you really mean it
When you tell me what will be.

Why do we never get an answer
When we’re knocking at the door
With a thousand million questions
About hate and death and war?

When we stop and look around us
There is nothing that we need.
In a world of persecution that is burning in its greed.
